I was walking downtown, when I noticed a sign that said "help wanted" sticking out above the entrance to a building. I thought it was strange, as a door wasn't there beforehand, and the help wanted sign was posted in the spot where the name of the building should be. I walked through the door, and entered what looked to be an award show. I realized my clothes had changed to become a full suit, and I was ushered over to a specific seating spot. When I sat down, I realized it was a gala, and felt out of place, trying tnot to draw attention to myself and following what the other patrons were doing. I was approached by a woman I used to attend school with, who used to be into all kinds of clubs and was extremely cultured. I felt a little out of place having drawn her eye, and as we chatted we became noticeably flirty with one another. Just as I mentioned we should meet up for a coffee and get some time to catch up, the gala went to award me a reward, and caught how we were looking at eachother on the jumbotron. I was surprised that i was chosen for the award, and had no idea what it was for since I wasn't paying attention, but I went to accept it anyway. I managed to cobble together a good speech, and as I walk down from the stage, the MC whispered in my ear that I surprised him and the organizers 3 times today, once for showing up, the second for the woman, and third for winning the hearts of the public, getting the award. I was handed a letter that was sealed with wax by the MC, and left. I couldn't see what the letter said, but the feeling from it was full of anxiety and hope. I pulled a stopwatch out of my pocket and it said "2 days and 15 minutes until change".
